AIDS: My brothers story

Coming for a developing country, the uprising of HIV and AIDS is a problem. After reading the book about a man who finds himself stuck between his family and brother who is HIV +, and how he overcame all the stigma and discrimination.... it makes me wonder how life is so easy and gets complicated if we let it to be.

There have been a lot of initiatives to try and combat this problem, but nothing seems to be working. Would you like to shed some light as to why?

Ignorance
Ignorance from people who are shelfish and have no love for their neighbors.

In Africa especially in communities that practise wife inheritance, women have been exposed to HIV/AIDs through this practise and it has increased the spread of the virus. If a kinsman dies its normally the work of the community to find somebody to inherit his wife maybe he died from AIDs and the wife is infected ...its possible for the wife to infect the inheritor and him to do the same to his own wife.talking of cultural practises that promote the increase in HIV!
